Geodomes Immersive Experiences: Our Contribution to The Head Series with 11 Geodesic Domes
At Geodomes Immersive Experiences, we are proud to share our recent project of manufacturing and selling 11 geodesic domes of 3.5 and 4 meters in diameter for the third season of the series The Head. This thrilling show has captivated audiences with its mysterious and tense narrative, and we had the honor of contributing our structures to the set design of this new installment, filmed at the Chorocera factory in Segovia and various locations in Tenerife.
The Head: A Suspenseful Thriller Taking the World by Storm
For those unfamiliar with The Head, this series is a Spanish psychological thriller created by brothers Álex and David Pastor, with Jorge Dorado as the director. The story is known for its claustrophobic setting and challenging environments, making it a visually striking production.
The first season took us to the Polaris VI polar base, where a group of scientists became trapped during the Antarctic winter and faced terrifying events. The second season moved the action to a cargo ship on the high seas, maintaining the same psychological tension. Now, in the third season, The Head introduces us to a new and surprising setting, where our geodesic domes play a crucial role.
The series features a remarkable cast, including John Lynch, Katharine O’Donnelly, Tomohisa Yamashita, Mónica López, Hovik Keuchkerian, Enrique Arce, Josefin Neldén, and Thierry Godard, among others. The production is handled by the renowned company MediaPro Studio, which has brought this story to international platforms, establishing it as one of the most intriguing productions in the current television landscape.

Season 3 and the Role of Our Geodesic Domes
In this third season, The Head expands its narrative to a futuristic context, where scientific research and survival intertwine in a hostile and isolated environment. Our 11 geodesic domes have been an essential part of the set design, providing an innovative and functional aesthetic to represent advanced research facilities in inhospitable locations.
The domes appear in several key scenes, standing out in two main filming locations: the Chorocera factory in Segovia and Tenerife. At the Chorocera factory, they recreated the facilities of a secret complex where characters develop their experiments and face ethical dilemmas and lurking threats. Meanwhile, in Tenerife, the domes were integrated into a spectacular natural environment, simulating a research camp in a volcanic and remote area, enhancing the suspense and danger that characterize the series.
The Manufacturing of the Domes for The Head
Each geodesic dome was designed and manufactured with high-resistance materials to ensure durability and stability in any filming environment. At Geodomes Immersive Experiences, we work with lightweight yet robust structures capable of withstanding adverse weather conditions without sacrificing ease of assembly and disassembly, a crucial factor in the audiovisual industry.
For the series, we provided 3.5- and 4-meter diameter models, tailored to the production team’s needs. Some of these domes were equipped with special coatings to create a more industrial and futuristic appearance, while others were left in their purest state, highlighting their characteristic geometric design.

Uses of the Geodesic Domes in the Series
In the third season of The Head, the domes play an essential role in the narrative. They are used as research laboratories, survival shelters, and monitoring stations in a hostile environment. Their futuristic design perfectly aligns with the show’s aesthetics, conveying a sense of isolation and vulnerability—key elements in the storyline.
The use of geodesic domes not only adds authenticity to the plot but also reinforces the idea that these structures are ideal for expeditions and extreme environments. This aspect resonates with our philosophy at Geodomes Immersive Experiences, where we promote the use of domes for multiple applications, from events to scientific and residential projects.
Our Experience in the Audiovisual Industry
This is not our first work in the film and television industry. At Geodomes Immersive Experiences, we have collaborated with various productions seeking impactful and realistic settings. Our domes have been used in documentaries, music videos, and series, demonstrating their versatility and visual appeal.
The fact that The Head chose us to create its setting fills us with pride and reinforces our commitment to quality and innovation. We know that geodesic structures not only offer functional solutions but also add unparalleled aesthetic value to any audiovisual project.

The third season of The Head has been an unforgettable experience for both fans and everyone involved in the project. At Geodomes Immersive Experiences, we are thrilled to have contributed our 11 geodesic domes to this impressive production, helping to create a unique and captivating setting.
